BROOME COUNTY CLERK PROMOTES “STOP THE STEAL” AWARENESS CAMPAIGN

Broome County Clerk Aaron Martin was in attendance at this week’s Town of Binghamton Town Board meeting to promote an Awareness Campaign called “Stop the Steal”.  The purpose of the campaign is to bring the public’s attention to Deed Fraud (also called home title theft) and DMV Phishing Scams.

Are you aware that the Broome County Clerk’s Office offers a FREE Fraud Alert System that you can easily register for?  Do you know that the DMV does NOT send unsolicited texts or emails asking for payment?
