BROOME COUNTY OFFERS FREE FOOD BOXES TO THE NEEDY
Broome County is offering food assistance and has distributed 2,000 food boxes to support local veterans and rural households in need following the recent delay in SNAP benefit payments. Each food box contains 15 shelf-stable items designed to help create complete, comforting meals, including pancake mix and syrup, spaghetti and sauce, and more.
Each household may receive one box, available at the pickup locations listed on Broome County’s website (scroll down to “Food Boxes”). Again, this distribution is specifically for local veterans and rural households in need.
