CITY IS FLUSHING THIS WEEK: Some areas of the TOB may be affected.

Posted on Weds., 9/10/25 – We’ve just learned that the City of Binghamton Water Dept. is flushing their hydrants this week.  Based on past experience, residents living in some areas in the Town of Binghamton (including but not limited to Alpine, Beechknoll, Morgan, all of Park Terrace, Pierce Street and others) may be affected.  If you experience rust, please run your cold water until it clears.  Once it clears, you can run your hot water.

As an additional FYI, the Town of Binghamton plans to flush hydrants during the early morning hours on October 7th, 8th, and 9th.  Residents will be informed by door hangers being hand-delivered to homes, a notice on this website, and a mass email sent to those who have signed up to receive Town emails.  Thank you.
