WATER ALERT FOR SOUTH MOUNTAIN AREA ON 10/21/25 OR 10/22/25

Posted on Thurs., October 16, 2025 — We’ve been notified that the City of Binghamton Water Dept. is planning on doing some work at the top part of South Mountain (Norfolk Road/East Hamton) on Tuesday, October 21 OR Wednesday, October 22, 2025.    

The following areas MAY experience no water and/or low water pressure at times while the work is being done:   East Hamton Road (NOT West Hamton), Norfolk Road, Coventry Lane, Cheshire Road (from Norfolk to Coventry), Russ’s Lane, Brown Road, Douglas Drive, Oak Tree Drive, and Thistlewood Drive.   

Once the work is complete, you may experience air in the water line.  If that happens, turn the cold tap on first and run until any air clears.  Once the cold water runs clear, you can use your hot water.
