NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING OF ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS: Request for Area Variance at 1519 Hawleyton Road – 07/28/26 at 6:01 p.m.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Town of Binghamton, Broome County, New York will meet at the Town Hall, 279 Park Avenue, Binghamton, New York on the 28th day of July, 2026, at 6:31 p.m. for the purpose of conducting a public hearing pursuant to the Binghamton Town Code Chapter 240 to consider the following matter:

An application by James Wallen for the property located in a district zoned “R-1,” known and referred to as 1519 Hawleyton Road, Binghamton, New York 13903 and identified as tax map number 192.03-1-28.1, seeking an area variance from the Zoning Code of the Town of Binghamton to allow for an accessory structure to be constructed closer to the public roadway than the primary residential structure on the premises.

Copies of the above application are available at the Office of the Building Official, Town Hall, 279 Park Avenue, Binghamton, New York for inspection during the Town Clerk’s office hours, Tuesday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Town Hall, 279 Park Avenue, Binghamton, New York 13903 prior to the public hearing.  Written communications to the Board concerning this appeal may be sent to the Chairperson, Board of Zoning Appeals, Town Hall, 279 Park Avenue, Binghamton, New York 13903.  At said public hearing, the Board will hear anyone, appearing in person or by agents or attorneys, who is interested in this appeal.
